Harvey Nichols-Free Gift with Purchases

Another short post to let you know that Harvey Nichols ‘Biggest Ever Gift with Purchase’ celebrating 15 years of Beyond Beauty is now on online or in store.  It is worth over £600 and free when you spend £195 or more on three or more Beyond Beauty products, while stocks last – please see photo below of what is in the free goody bag and the link here for further details.

*gwp-featured-image.jpg

Harvey Nichols states that it features ‘a bespoke illustration by acclaimed London artist, Jo Ratcliffe, the roomy tote contains all manner of cult Beyond Beauty goodies, including plenty of full-size products from the likes of Foreo, Rodial, Mario Badescu and James Read Tan’.  It definitely looks very good.

I understand it is a high value spend but if there are products you need, wanted to try, or have gifts you need to get – good time to get them if you can, while this impressive free gift with purchases goodie bag is available – from past experience the free gift with purchase goodie bags do not last long and because this appears to be an better one they may go even quicker.

Hope you found this useful – As I love free gifts (especially beauty gifts) with purchase and also want you to know about them as soon as possible I am considering making it a featured page which I will update as and when I see any – love to hear if this is something you would be interested in or welcome any other comments you may have.

If you are not a follower would love you to subscribe / follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

PUR Eye Polish in ‘Satin’ Review

Currently one of my favourite eye make up products is the Pur Eye Polish  (£17). There are 6 shades available and the one I have tried and loved is ‘Satin’, a beautiful everyday creamy neutral / light rose gold shade – however I intend to try some of  the other shades v soon:

img_1782

Shades:

  • Cashmere – Decadent metallic champagne beige.
  • Caviar – Black with golden shimmer.
  • Satin – Creamy golden nude with hints of pink metallic.
  • Silk – Warm iridescent copper.
  • Suede – Earthy brown with a metallic finish.
  • Velvet – Metallic amethyst.

Directions for Use:

  • Using the flat, flexible, pointed Latex-free Silicone applicator, pat or lightly press, Eye Polish on the eyelid.
  • You can sweep eye shadow over top or in the crease to add dimension.

As a Top Coat:

  • Using the Latex-free Silicone applicator, apply Eye Polish on top of powder eye shadows on the centre of the lid.
  • Press Eye Polish in the inner corner of the lid to make the eyes pop or along the lower lash line for a sultry look.
  • Eye Polish can also be applied with a liner brush for a metallic liner or buffed into the crease using a utility or crease brush.

The PUR Cosmetics Eye Polish  can be used as a primer / base for most eye shadows, worn on its on own as a subtle creamy shimmery shade or as a top coat.  I personally also use a primer as well but either way I find this eye polish is very long lasting, does not budge or crease throughout the day.    I love wearing it just with the primer but it is also the perfect base.   I love the way it highlights your eyes, is so easy to apply and so comfortable to wear.

The creamy cushioned formula eye polish comes in a screw top jar with a silicone applicator.  There is ‘netting’ protecting the polish and I find that at the beginning I prefer to put the polish on with my fingers by patting / pressing gently on the eyelids and you can easily build your colour up that way too, there is no fall out although you need to be careful where you apply it, as it is long lasting so if you go slightly outside your eyelid by mistake, you need to remove it as soon as possible or you will need to use an eye makeup remover to remove completely.  However as you use the product up  I find it is  easier to use the silicone applicator as it is then difficult to get the product out because of the net covering.  You can also apply the polish very easily with the applicator but it just takes a bit more practice.

I absolutely love this product and it is now a staple in my makeup collection and would highly recommend trying – the only v slight negative is when the product is nearly finished it is more difficult to get the remainder of the polish out (photo below shows my new / unused eye polish on the left – when new the product is near the top) so if there was some way that you could remove the interior section / netting it would be absolutely perfect.

img_1788

This product is one I will always repurchase but as always I search for the best offers available prior to purchasing – currently there are no specific offers on but is available to purchase on a number of online stores including  Feel Unique and Beauty Bay (although they do have regular offers on and you can choose samples at checkout on both these sites with set spend) – however  both sites are currently out of stock of the ‘Satin’ shade (so glad I have a spare one and hope it will be back in stock v soon)- however they have the ‘Cashmere’ shade in stock which looks the nearest colour to Satin and is the shade I think I will also try next.

Hope you found this helpful and look forward to any comments you may have – if you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care and hope you all have a lovely weekend.

AESOP Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash

As our hands are so hard-working we wash / cleanse them frequently on a daily basis which is why I have always been on the look out for a gentle effective hand wash that does the job, protects against the elements, eliminates unwanted smells, cleanses hands properly and treats your hands with care.  So was delighted when a few months ago I found in my opinion the near perfect product – the Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash.

Described as a superior cleansing gel for hard-working hands and gentle enough for frequent use.  This product is enhanced with botanical extracts or Range, Rosemary and Lavender.  The anti-bacterial properties of Mandarin and Rosemary extracts help to cleanse, while Lavender assists skin in feeling soothed and hydrated.  A gel which is especially good for hands prone to dryness.

ApplicationMassage a small amount into wet hands and rinse thoroughly.

It comes in a 500 ml hard plastic bottle with pump applicator and costs £27 – this in my opinion is the only one slight negative, it is expensive, but as it takes so little product each time and because of the results I believe it is worth it.

It is a clear liquid with a beautiful refreshing clean natural fragrance, not over powering and the Lavender fragrance is not overly strong either, which I prefer as I am not a fan of Lavender fragranced products.  You only need one pump and once you add water to the cleanser it turns to a slightly milky consistency and it cleanses your hands thoroughly and effectively, no unwanted scents remain on your hands and it does not leave your hands dry.  As you wash your hands the fragrance of the product develops and envelopes you and the room you are in.  This is a brilliant product for cleansing and removing any strong cooking smells, for example onions and also any outdoor or pet scents.

I definitely would recommend this product especially  for frequent washing, after cooking, working outside,  working with animals,  or any occasion where you just need to cleanse remove any strong scents from your hands.   Although I do not find this product drying on the hands I still use hand cream on a regular basis, after each wash as with washing your hands so much you need hand cream to protect them.  My favourite is the L’Occitane Hand cream – I will let you know all about this product on another post shortly.

As you can see above I now love this product and as always I look out for the best offers available when purchasing (two of out of the three above are now empty).  You can purchase from a number of online stores and have included two below which I hope you find helpful.

  • SPACENK UK:, – £27 – no free gifts, discount offers on at the moment – however currently free shipping when you spend £40 or more and three free samples – however remember to sign up or go through Topcashback  first to get cashback on your purchase (please see link here for further details);
  • MANKIND: – £27 – free UK shipping and currently when you spend £50 or above you get a free gift from Mio worth £25– if this offer finished always search for a new one before purchasing.

Look forward to any comments you may have.

If you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

LATESTINBEAUTY – Build Your Own Box

Another way you can try a number of beauty products is by creating your own custom beauty box through Latestinbeauty‘Build Your Own Box’ –  perfect way to treat yourself or get as a gift(s) as excellent value for money.

You can choose from three box options; Box 1 – 3 products for £8.99, Box 2 – 6 products for £12.99 and Box 3 – 9 products for £16.99 plus £3.95 for p & p unless a free shipping offer is on at the time you are purchasing.  There are a mixture of full size and travel size beauty products to select from.  As you would expect some products, especially full size items, sell out pretty quickly, however selection of products is updated / refreshed on a regular basis.

I have purchased different versions of the  Build Your Own boxes in the past, depending on the choice of products that were available to select / purchase at that time.  I have included details of my most recent selection below which I received last week.

img_1766

This time I chose Box 3 as the selection of products available to chose from included a number of items I wanted to try, already liked and majority were full size items, so this was the most reasonable way to purchase/ try them – excellent value for money.

I selected / received the following items:

Rituals Mini Under A Fig Tree Fragrance Sticks – 50ml – Comes In a Box – Worth £14.50 ;

Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo – 75ml – 250ml is worth 18.00;

Molton Brown Frankincense & Allspice Hand Wash300ml is worth £18.00;

Rodial Stem Cell Cleansing Cream – 70ml – only able to see in sets at the moment;

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara in Midnight Blue – 4ml – Travel Size in Box – Full Size worth £18 – I received black although ordered blue but going to contact Latestinbeauty about this – I found their customer service is excellent;

Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream – 50 ml – Full size sealed in box – worth £12.99 but reduced in a number of online stores;

Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser – 90ml – worth £8.50;

Eucerin Transparent Sun Spray SPF30 – 200ml – worth £16.50; and

The Green Parent Natural Beauty Bible 2016 – not included in box and will contact Latestinbeauty about this however do not really need or want it now as have now seen what it actually is, a friend had already received it and I thought it might have been a book but it is only a magazine so unless you really want to receive it, I would recommend selecting another item instead.

I also received a free 111Skin Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask (1 mask – FULL SIZE) worth £20 as there was a special offer on when I purchased, a free mask with any purchase – even though this particular offer is now finished, Latestinbeauty do have regular offers.

I definitely would recommend checking out the Build Your Own Beauty Box range, as there usually is a great variety of brands and products available(to choose from), excellent value for money, great way to try products and perfect as gifts as well.  Remember though that some products may go out of stock v quickly, although stock is refreshed / updated on a regular basis.

Hope you found this helpful and would love to hear if you have, or are thinking of purchasing one of these boxes.

 If you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

Box of Style-The ZOE Report-‘Fall 2016’

I received my ‘Fall 2016’ Box of Style end of last week.  The  Zoe Report Box of Style is a US seasonal box (4 boxes per year) which costs $100 per box  and contains a variety of items (could be clothing, accessories, skincare, jewellery, makeup etc.).  The contents of each seasonal box  are different and contain around six items, one of which is a high value ‘hero’ item – could be item of clothing, jewellery, a bag etc.  International shipping is  available to the UK  for a flat rate of  $15 per box / shipment.  (full details on subscription(s) / shipping can be found at http://boxofstyle.thezoereport.com/

  • The ‘Hero’ Item – A gorgeous Donni Charm Colour Block Wonder Cape in Black and White  = $197 – This is a beautiful soft cosy versatile piece – love it is in black and white, two of my favourite colours, I think it will suit everyone, is ageless and timeless, you could wear it over jeans and jumper, over a dress or even wrap around your neck as a cosy scarf, also can be worn with the wrap belt, cannot wait to wear it;

  • A beautiful  B-Low The Belt Gatsby Black Leather Wrap Belt = $105 – another beautiful piece, can be worn around the cape, double wrap in around the waist on a dress, jacket and also can be worn through belt loops on your trousers, skirt or jeans as tassle finish give it that extra detail;

  • IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil = $24 – over the moon that two items from IT Cosmetics were included as this is a brand I have  wanted to try but never got round to it till now – (however QVC UK have recently started stocking IT Cosmetics and I am now waiting on the makeup compact to arrive – will do a review on it too when I get a chance to try it) – Love the pencil on one side and brush on the other, tried it once and initial thoughts are that it filled in brows very well (dragged slightly when I first used it but improved after further usage) and brush great for tidying up the brows too – states is universal and when you lean heavier it does give a darker colour – looking forward to trying properly;
  • IT Cosmetics Vitality Lip Blush Hydrating Gloss Stain = $24 – I received the colour ‘Wine Berry Flush’ – which is a dark berry colour (maybe a variety of colours included in boxes as shows three different colours on the information card)- feels beautiful on the lips feels very hydrating, felt a v, v light tingling, left lips looking natural but healthier and colour did last  really well, another item I want to try properly;

    img_1707

  • Hollywood Fashion Secrets Lint Removing Sheets = $6 great addition perfect to carry in your handbag when you need to remove and fluff, fallout;
  • A Stunning Rachel Zoe Goldtone Tassle Bracelet = $95 – this is a beautiful stunning bracelet which comes in a black drawstring bag, it is from the Rachel Zoe collection, length is adjustable and I am over the moon that it fits me as I have a smaller wrist and find it difficult at times to find bracelets that fit without any adjustments – detail is exquisite and love the tassle charm detail, perfect to wear for any occasion, you could also could wear it stacked with other bracelets – think this will be a bracelet I will be reaching for and wearing a lot.

Thank you – take care.

ORIGINS RITUALITEA FACE MASKS

14237681_10153860991607405_6140090748808201596_n

Origins have recently launched a new RitualiTea face and body mask range.  Although I have not yet got round to trying the body mask range yet I have been lucky enough to try two of the three face masks already, so wanted to let you know my initial thoughts.

There are three different types of Rituali Tea face masks, they come in a tin, cost £30 each for 45g and have a powder formula  which when mixed with water should become a creamy consistency (the body masks cost £25 each and come in tubes).

Currently you can try a sample / samples of these masks by asking the sales assistant at any Origins Counter about the masks and after a skincare consultation you should receive at least one sample sachet free to try while stocks last (you may also receive a sample of tea) – I have inserted link to the  OriginsUK Facebook page here for reference – recent post dated 29.09.16 – copy of post below:

There are three Rituali Tea face masks as follows:

Ritualiteas Matcha Madness (Silver & Green Tin) – described as a revitalising powder face mask – initial smell reminds you of a spa which is very pleasant / relaxing – you need to mix the powder with water – depending on how thick a paste you want you can add a little more water if you prefer a smoother consistency and once you mix the powder / water together it starts to foam slightly and the fragrance changes to an earthy smell not as enticing, although not unpleasant just not what you are expecting or want with a mask – you can purchase the accessories for the masks as well if you want – a measuring spoon and mixing / tool duo £15 and a dark grey hard plastic bowl to mix the mask in £15 (think this is v pricey for what it is and unless you like coordinating items I personally do not feel you need it), I personally will not be purchasing either in the future as have plenty of bowls and measuring / mixing tools.  The mask is a bit messy to apply and remove, contains slight ‘bits’ once mixed with water and does dry slightly on the skin although I did notice a slight difference to my skin after one use, my skin looked more  refreshed with a slight glow and felt smooth to the touch – definitely will think about purchasing this in the future but not at the moment as have so many masks to use up and the price, fragrance and application not as appealing as other masks I currently use although still a good mask;

Ritualitea Oolongla (Silver & Brown Tin) – described as a purifying powder face mask with oolong black tea & chai spice – I have not got round to trying this one yet but initial smell reminds me of a slight autumnal / winter fragrance;

Ritualitea Feeling Rosy (Silver & Red Tin)- described as a comforting powder face mask – has an initial slight rose fragrance but when mixed with water the smell is more natural/earthy and to me smells slightly like breakfast cereal, maybe only me, although still has a v, v, slight rose undertone too.  I applied as before and I loved the feeling of my skin afterwards, it felt smooth, soft to the touch, my skin appeared clearer and refreshed so again will definitely think about purchasing in the future.

I definitely enjoyed trying these masks and was happy with results – however only things that put me off slightly is the preparation / fragrance and price as the results are not any better than my current masks which  majority of, are cheaper, smell better and are easier to apply and remove.  However I would still definitely recommend trying if you have not already  especially as currently you should be able to get a free sample / samples to try while stocks last – always remember if purchasing full size items to shop around online and in-store to get best value at that time, including discount codes, free gifts etc.

I hope you found this useful – remember sample(s) availability will be while stocks last, so the quicker you can get into a participating store the more chance samples will still be available.

Thank you for looking  and look forward to any comments you may have – if you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend.

Best Wishes Liz x
