ORIGINS RITUALITEA FACE MASKS

14237681_10153860991607405_6140090748808201596_n

Origins have recently launched a new RitualiTea face and body mask range.  Although I have not yet got round to trying the body mask range yet I have been lucky enough to try two of the three face masks already, so wanted to let you know my initial thoughts.

There are three different types of Rituali Tea face masks, they come in a tin, cost £30 each for 45g and have a powder formula  which when mixed with water should become a creamy consistency (the body masks cost £25 each and come in tubes).

Currently you can try a sample / samples of these masks by asking the sales assistant at any Origins Counter about the masks and after a skincare consultation you should receive at least one sample sachet free to try while stocks last (you may also receive a sample of tea) – I have inserted link to the  OriginsUK Facebook page here for reference – recent post dated 29.09.16 – copy of post below:

There are three Rituali Tea face masks as follows:

Ritualiteas Matcha Madness (Silver & Green Tin) – described as a revitalising powder face mask – initial smell reminds you of a spa which is very pleasant / relaxing – you need to mix the powder with water – depending on how thick a paste you want you can add a little more water if you prefer a smoother consistency and once you mix the powder / water together it starts to foam slightly and the fragrance changes to an earthy smell not as enticing, although not unpleasant just not what you are expecting or want with a mask – you can purchase the accessories for the masks as well if you want – a measuring spoon and mixing / tool duo £15 and a dark grey hard plastic bowl to mix the mask in £15 (think this is v pricey for what it is and unless you like coordinating items I personally do not feel you need it), I personally will not be purchasing either in the future as have plenty of bowls and measuring / mixing tools.  The mask is a bit messy to apply and remove, contains slight ‘bits’ once mixed with water and does dry slightly on the skin although I did notice a slight difference to my skin after one use, my skin looked more  refreshed with a slight glow and felt smooth to the touch – definitely will think about purchasing this in the future but not at the moment as have so many masks to use up and the price, fragrance and application not as appealing as other masks I currently use although still a good mask;

Ritualitea Oolongla (Silver & Brown Tin) – described as a purifying powder face mask with oolong black tea & chai spice – I have not got round to trying this one yet but initial smell reminds me of a slight autumnal / winter fragrance;

Ritualitea Feeling Rosy (Silver & Red Tin)- described as a comforting powder face mask – has an initial slight rose fragrance but when mixed with water the smell is more natural/earthy and to me smells slightly like breakfast cereal, maybe only me, although still has a v, v, slight rose undertone too.  I applied as before and I loved the feeling of my skin afterwards, it felt smooth, soft to the touch, my skin appeared clearer and refreshed so again will definitely think about purchasing in the future.

I definitely enjoyed trying these masks and was happy with results – however only things that put me off slightly is the preparation / fragrance and price as the results are not any better than my current masks which  majority of, are cheaper, smell better and are easier to apply and remove.  However I would still definitely recommend trying if you have not already  especially as currently you should be able to get a free sample / samples to try while stocks last – always remember if purchasing full size items to shop around online and in-store to get best value at that time, including discount codes, free gifts etc.

I hope you found this useful – remember sample(s) availability will be while stocks last, so the quicker you can get into a participating store the more chance samples will still be available.

Thank you for looking  and look forward to any comments you may have – if you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Enjoy the remainder of the weekend.

Best Wishes Liz x

BENEFIT Deluxe Sample Selection-Boots

Wanted to let you of another great way to try Benefit Cosmetics products at the moment without having to purchase the full size item is through purchasing deluxe size samples £5 per item or purchase 4 items for £20 and you get a zipped Benefit makeup bag for free.  I was able to redeem advantage card points I had built up so got all my items for ‘free’.

I cannot see this offer currently available online however should be available in larger Boots stores – if you cannot see this offer ask a Benefit Cosmetics Sales Assistant about it.

There are a number of items to choose from but I chose the following four products (all came in boxes so perfect as small gifts too):

B.Right Triple Performing Facial Emulsion for all Skin Types – SPF 15 – 8.9 ml  – beautiful bottle although maybe not that practical, but I will refill it and keep as a decorative item  – has a lovely light fragrance and creamy consistency – cannot wait to try this properly, will post a review once I have;

Benefit Dandelion Ultra Plush Lipgloss – 6.5 ml – comes in a tube and has a sweet fragrance and has a lovely non sticky sheen finish, perfect by itself or over a lipstick – will think about purchasing full size item or maybe this size again as will take a while to use this size up;

Eyes It’s Potent Brightening Eye Cream – 3.0g – also comes in a matching glass container which you could refill when empty – beautiful non sticky consistency – I have used this product before and enjoyed using it so was happy to choose another deluxe size sample to use  – it leaves your eyes hydrated and brightened and although I found it did not really help to fade my dark circles it did help disguise them slightly so would still recommend trying it as it is a beautiful product;

Boi-ing 02 1.4g – Eye Bright 1.2g Duo – this is a concealer and eye brightening duo which comes in a beautiful compact with built-in mirror – I would have preferred the concealer in shade 01 but this sample only available in 02 in my store (not sure if available in other shades in other stores though) – however still can work with this shade and I find it is great for under the eye area or to help disguise any slight blemishes – also I find the creamy eye brighter is great to use in the inner / outer corner of the eyes – gives that instant illuminating brightening effect.  Love this duo as perfect handbag size and will last ages so when I need to repurchase will purchase this size again instead of the full size items (if still available);

and

I also received the Clear Benefit peach trimmed zipped makeup bag for free as I had purchased four items – good quality bag and perfect for travelling.

I would definitely recommend checking this offer out if you can while stocks last as great way to try Benefit products or to get deluxe travel size samples of your favourite items.  Also remember to use your Boots advantage card too or sign up for one if you have not already – no charge or catch just a great way to build up points for redeeming against items when you have enough built up.

Look forward to any comments you may have – if you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

The Body Shop Superfood Masks Review

Wanted to let you know my thoughts on the Body Shop masks now that I have finally got round to trying them.

img_1145

I received my free Body Shop sample mask trio through  The Body Shop facebook page / Claim Free Face Mask offer – please see  link here to apply (still available to claim or send to a friend(s) while stocks last) – see my earlier post here for further details.

I applied masks evenly as per instructions, avoiding the eye and lip areas and rinsed off after 10 minutes – states leave for 5 to 10 minutes on packet:

The Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask  – full size £15 for 75 ml – states contains Bamboo charcoal from the Himalayan foothills, Green tea leaves from Japan and Community Trade organic tea tree oil from Kenya – light purifying type fragrance and when I first applied this mask I felt a slight cooling / tingling feeling but nothing major –  did not irritate my skin and found is perfect for when you want that deep cleanse, my pores appeared diminished and it left my skin smooth and with a healthy glow – messier to apply and remove  and has ‘bits’ in it however still love this mask and results although I found that this mask is definitely better for the T Zone area especially if you have combination skin as I personally found can leave other areas of your skin slightly dry – definitely will purchase when I use more of my masks up;

The British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask  – full size £15 for 75 ml – states contains real rose petals, and essence of hand-picked roses from Britain, Rosehip oil from Chile and Community trade organic aloe vera from Mexico –  this mask has a  rose fragrance though not overpowering –  left my skin smooth and soft to the touch hydrated with a dewy glow – could be used all over or just on chin cheeks -did not really notice any plumping results though – not sure about this mask for me though as prefer the other two – however would still recommend trying;

and last but not least

The Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask  – full size £15 for 75 ml – states contains Community Trade honey from Ethiopia, Community Trade marula oil from Namibia and Community Trade organic olive oil from Italy – this mask is beautiful – this may be my favourite of the three masks I have tried, even though I like all three – light honey fragrance – left my skin hydrated, soothed replenished and fine lines appeared reduced and skin felt softer, looked brighter and more rested – definitely left my skin v nourished as well – definitely going to purchase.

I would definitely recommend trying to get samples of these masks to try before purchasing to see which one you prefer or maybe all three – if the offer I got is not available just ask the sales assistant if they have even one sample you could try.  As always if you are considering purchasing please check in store and online for the best offers available prior to purchasing.

Look forward to any comments you may have – if you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

Kat Von D-‘London Calling’ Ltd. Ed. Set

I am sure a  lot of people are happy that the  Kat Von D makeup range is now finally available to purchase in the UK – collection launched exclusively in Debenhams today 13th September 2016.  A Limited Edition 3 piece set ‘London Calling’ was available to purchase pre-launch for £19.50 (still available to purchase  here while stocks last).  As I had heard so much about the Kat Von D makeup range thought this was the perfect way to try some of her products.

My order arrived last week and now that I have had a chance to try all the products I wanted to let you know what I thought.

This limited edition 3 piece ‘London Calling’ make up set came beautifully packaged in a box and contained a mini ‘Studded Kiss’ lipstick in ‘Lolita’, ‘Everlasting’ mini liquid lipstick in ‘Double Dare’ and a mini ‘Tattoo’ liner in ‘Trooper’ – described as Kat’s favourites.

The Mini Studded kiss lipstick in ‘Lolita’ – 1.2g;

Love, love, the studded detail black sleek packaging with KVD embossed on lid –  a deluxe travel size, perfect size for your purse and the colour is divine – it is a matt dark pink / nude shade and is long lasting – though a matt shade I found that as long as your lips are prepared does not dry out your lips the way some matt lip products can – perfect for anytime but will be beautiful for Autumn time as well;

Mini ‘Everlasting’ liquid lipstick in ‘Double Dare’ – 3.0ml

Another great travel size, creamy and also long lasting and is the perfect companion for the lipstick, looks gorgeous worn over it too – also has a lovely pattern detail on the cap – beautiful dark pink / nude colour with a slight sheen, perfect for any time but especially for that night out – love this product too;

Mini Waterproof Tattoo liner in ‘Trooper’ – 0.2ml

Another perfect travel size – as black eyeliner is one of my daily essentials was more than happy to see this included and had also seen great reviews about this product – it is a strong black colour and long lasting and great when you want a precise fine line or to line the top lash – however I found the brush is a bit too fine for applying the liner under my eye although it is perfect on top of another eyeliner – although would still highly recommend because of the quality and durability.

 I am so pleased I purchased this set and would even consider purchasing another (however have seen that Love Me Beauty have the same individual items currently available to choose while stocks last (lip products different colours), when you subscribe to their monthly box – please see details of it here – you should also get 21 extra credits when you use my code LIZ5042 at checkout)  – definitely intend to look at what other lip colours are available  and will definitely purchase more from this range once I get a chance to use up the ‘new’ products I already have.

I would definitely recommend purchasing this Limited Edition set while it is still available as this is a great way to try a few of the products from the range prior to purchasing full size items.

Look forward to any comments you may have – if you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Feelunique ‘Haul’- Fleur de Force Products Review

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I received my most recent order from Feelunique late last week  – The main reasons for placing my order was to reorder one of my ‘hero’ products, the  Antipodes Divine Face Oil  – please see my earlier review on it here, and also to redeem my £3.95 gift voucher – I had paid £3.95 for shipping & handing for my  Pick ‘N’ Mix order which I then received back in the form of a gift voucher – to see details on the service and what I received in my Pick ‘N’ Mix order, please see my previous post here.

As I was placing an order anyway I decided to purchase some items from the Fleur de Force range (so glad I did) as I had never got round to trying any of her products (although had purchased a few of her sets as gifts last year) and also because I seen they were on sale with an additional 10% off sale items at the time I purchased.

I purchased the following items:

The Fleur De Force Eyeshadow Quad in Lunar Rose (020) – Feelunique exclusive

An absolutely beautiful quad and the eye shadows are so pigmented,  high quality and very long lasting especially with eye primer- the palette I received contains a beautiful light rose / taupe pink colour, matt base colour, cream / v light pink pearl colour and a dark mauve almost brown colour with shimmer – definitely recommend purchasing this palette.  Love the Fleur de Force signature on the front too – just adds that finishing touch.  Definitely thinking of purchasing the 010 Cosmic Bronze palette as well even at the full price, as still very reasonable for the quality of the shadows.  However as always I will search for the best offer available at the time as there are always regular discount codes  available.

£6.99 – reduced to £2.40 – however now see back up to the full price of £6.99;

and three of her Feelunique exclusive lip glosses in the following colours:

£6.12 for 9.5 ml – all back to full price again too.

020 – Written in the Stars – reduced to £2.80

Stunning dark pink / nude colour – just perfect for everyday

030 – Starlight – reduced to £2.10

A lighter pink / peachy colour

050 – Starry Starry Night – reduced to £2.10

Gorgeous wine / berry colour – also suitable to wear anytime but especially for the evening / night out.

Oh my goodness – cannot believe the quality of these lip glosses, a cross between a lipstick and a lip gloss  very long lasting and although slightly sticky when you apply not tacky and colour ‘payout’ is exactly what you see in the tube  – also have a beautiful light vanilla fragrance – although not overpowering.  Definitely recommend trying these if you have not already.  I am just slightly annoyed with myself that I am so late trying the Fleur de Force makeup range as so, so, impressed with the quality of items I received and definitely recommend trying if you haven’t already

I also received cashback on my order – for details on how to receive cashback please see my previous post here, you can also use my link here to sign up if you want;  and the following free samples as well, an Emma Hardie Amazing Face Age Support Face Cream 5 ml sample sachet and a Feelunique makeup set which contained a blending sponge and a brush set – so v happy.

I hope you found this useful and remember to always check best offers available before purchasing and go through the  topcashback site first to claim any cashback available when purchasing.

Look forward to any comments you may have – if you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

LIBBIE BOX – September 2016

I received my *September Libbie Box  late last week.  For details on the  Libbie Box  and  the August 2016 box please see my previous reviews here and here.    The September Libbie Box  contained the following three full size items (worth over £61.40 – prices of products may vary online so could work out cheaper), additional sachet samples this month and product information card:

Dr DENNIS GROSS Skincare Alpha Beta Daily Peel Pads– £15 for a  day supply

I had heard of the brand but had never tried this product – Described as a patented two-step formula which is easy and safe to use at home, without requiring recovery time. Step 1 is packed with rejuvenating, powerful yet gentle, exfoliating acids, and step 2 controls the alpha hydroxy acid activity and delivers anti-aging actives, nourishing skin, keeping it balanced, smooth, and radiant – perfectly prepped for a more effective skincare routine. Expect your complexion to appear smoother, with fewer fine lines, a more even tone and texture, and smaller-looking pores. Contains a combination of seven acids, for accelerated results.  Although slightly apprehensive loved the product claims. Found the pads very easy to use and when used correctly as a 2 step plan I found my skin appeared more radiant and smoother and also fine lines and open pores appeared reduced, no adverse reaction either – definitely will be repurchasing and highly recommend.

PAUL YACOMINE Micro Duo 2 X 25ML– £16.50 – worth £24

This is a brand I had tried before but not this particular duo as these are exclusive to The  Libbie Club  –  This Micro Duo oils are described as a unique take on haircare,  which help repair locks damaged over the summer to give you a glossy new mane for autumn.   I used these products as directed and found they did not weigh my hair down or leave it greasy – left my hair silky soft and the finishing oil left my hair with a beautiful shine as well – highly recommend.

Although I had tried other products from the Evolve range had never tried this serumDescribed as clear serum for normal to dry skin containing 200mg hyaluronic acid per bottle, proven to hydrate skin from within and plump up fine lines and wrinkles. Organic pomegranate extract softens and protects. This serum although slightly sticky when applied sinks in quickly with no sticky residue, left my skin smooth and hydrated although I did not notice a plumping affect, however will continue to use to see if even better results are achieved with more usage.  No overpowering fragrance either only a v light rose scent – not sure if I will be repurchasing at this stage.

Welcome any queries or comments.  Also if you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care
