Lorac Powder Stain/Blush- ‘Coral Crush’

Hi All

Hope you are all having a good weekend – sorry I have been so quiet recently.  However from this weekend forward will be on back on track with regular posts.

As you know I absolutely love beauty boxes and was delighted to discover this product in a recent Look Incredible beauty box (although a more expensive monthly subscription I  would recommend trying this box  if you like to receive full size / high value beauty items).

I have read a lot of reviews on the Lorac Eyeshadow palettes but had never heard anything about their Lorac Cheek Blushes /Stains so was delighted it was included in the box.

I received the colour ‘Coral Crush’ – which is a beautiful pinky/peachy colour with a gold glimmer.  The packaging is sturdy but sleek (hard black plastic with the name embossed on the front).  I was delighted when I swatched it as it reminded me of one of my favourite blushes – the Nars blush in ‘Orgasm’.

pro-cheek-stain-coralcrush-medium

Described as:

A Pro Powder Cheek Stain which gives an instant flush of long lasting colour – states: is a fragrance and paraben free 12 hour long wear powder blush which stains your cheeks with one swipe of healthy radiant colour

pro-cheek-stain-coralcrush-small

Oh my goodness I absolutely adore this blush, it has no fragrance, so easy to apply and it gives a healthy natural long lasting radiant flush of colour to your cheeks – although there is a slight shimmer in it I find when you apply it is gives more a slight gold sheen to your cheeks which I personally love and seems perfect for my light skin tone (however also think it would be perfect for medium / darker skin tones as colour is  buildable).    This blush / stain is definitely more pigmented than the Nars blush in Orgasm and although the Nars blush is one of my favourite blushes I now prefer the Lorac one even more, never thought I would find one to compare.  They are both beautiful blushes and although I prefer the Nars compact with the build in mirror  I personally find the Lorac blush is even more long lasting / pigmented.

I would absolutely recommend trying this blush for yourself – I  have already purchased, although will take a while to finish this one.

There are not many online stores in UK which are stocking it but it is still available to purchase on sale on the Look Incredible.co.uk site 3.5g for £14.99 (was £21), while stocks last, (the Nars Blush is normally £23 for 4.8g).

Look forward to any comments you may have.   Have your tried this blush already?  If you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

Best Wishes Liz x

L’Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil

Another product I have now got round to trying is the L’Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil and I am so glad I did as it has surpassed my expectations already.   I was lucky and received the full size L’Occitane Shea Cleansing Oil, 200ml (£17) as a free gift with purchase.  My two favourite cleansers prior to trying this product were the Liz Earle cleanse and polish and DHC Cleansing Oil, however I already like the L’Occitane cleansing oil even better than the DHC Cleansing Oil.

The Shea Cleansing Oil, has a silky non greasy texture and I find it cleanses, removes make-up, including eye makeup (even waterproof) in a single step.  It has a beautiful natural refreshing / uplifting aroma.  It feels so luxurious on the skin and takes so little product to cleanse the skin (will last a long time)- just massage into skin, add water and then it turns to a milky consistency and then you just rinse…

img_4910

States:  it transforms into a soft emulsion when applied with water to preserve skin’s natural hydration. Your skin will be clean and comfortable, and your complexion looking fresh and radiant.  I totally agree with these claims from my initial results.

I definitely would recommend trying this product but as always try to get a free sample if possible to try first and then check for best offers available before purchasing.

You can purchase the cleansing oil from a number of online stores and I have included two below which I hope you find helpful.

  • L’Occitane.co.uk:£17 – choice of two free samples with orders and a number of different offers on with set purchases and free shipping with orders £35 or over, also remember to sign up or go through Topcashback  first to get cashback on your purchase when you sign up for the first time – if you use my referral link here, you will also get a £5 Amazon Gift Card and then you can claim % cashback from participating retailers-(please see link here for further details); and
  • QVCUK.com: £24.51 (p&p £3.95)– 6 piece cleanse and discovery set (great way to try a number of products and perfect travel sizes).

Hope you found this useful – Have you tried this product before,  and if so what do you think of it?

I have so many products to use at the moment I have been trying to resist a lot of beauty offers but just could not resist ordering this one as I already love one of the products within the ‘box’- the Beautiful Nars (Limited Edition ) Orgasm Blusher (3.04oz )RRP:£28.00 – I love this blush as it is a super flattering peachy pink (with a slight hint of gold) blusher which I feel is suitable for most skin tones – gives a healthy flush of colour but is buildable as well.

Practk Palmat 2-in-1 Cleansing Tool

Hi all

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and had a great start to the New Year -V Best Wishes for the rest of 2017.  Unfortunately have not got a chance to do many posts over the last few weeks as have been v busy and now have so many posts planned /  want to do.

V lucky at the moment and away in the sunshine for a few weeks so getting a chance to try a lot of the products I have wanted to try for a while but just have never got round to using. (still plenty more to try though!)

One of these products is one I was v lucky  to receive for free a few weeks back and was perfect to take with me travelling (portable and light)  – the Palmat 2-in-1 make up brush cleansing tool  from Practk Beauty Gadgets.   I was intrigued by this product as although I have seen ‘mats’ for washing makeup brushes, had never seen this particular type of brush cleansing tool/mat.

fullsizerender-5

a.jpg

Features:

  • It is a purple silicon makeup brush cleansing tool / mat;
  • Can secure between your fingers for maximum control;
  • Wear on palm to quickly clean brushes;
  • Has adjustable tabs on each side for a customised, comfortable universal fit;
  • Suction Cups to hold firm through vigorous cleaning;
  • Place in sink for hands free cleaning.

fullsizerender-6

Also states:

  • Removes harmful build up and bacteria from eye and face brushes.

I found it v easy to use and it fits v well on palm of my hand,  suction cups also hold it firmly on surfaces to enable you to clean brushes properly.

There are wash ridges and refine ridges on each pad and when using any light cleanser / brush cleanser the wash ridge section removes all the makeup really well from the brushes after a few washes and then the refine end helps to remove any residue and brushes do come up as good as new after drying.

I would definitely recommend this cleansing tool especially if you have a lot of brushes, and prefer a base to clean your brushes on as it is effective for both small and large brushes, perfect for travelling,  reasonably priced and I feel this product will also be v durable as well as the silicone appears to be off a high quality – so no need to repurchase for a while unless you would like a few of them.

As always remember to look out for the best value / offers available before purchasing – cannot currently find many UK sites stocking this product however I  have listed one below.

Hope you found this useful – Have you tried this product before,  and if so what do you think of it?

If you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

My Little Box – ‘Christmas’ – Dec 2016

Delighted as received my December My Little Box today – one of my favourite monthly subscription boxes which costs £14.95 (inclusive of p&p) per month.    This month’s theme is ‘Christmas’ simple and perfect for this time of year and I adore the way the box, booklets, packaging is all coordinated perfectly in line with this month’s theme.  As I have only received the box today have not got a chance to try any of the items properly but wanted to let you see what I received as soon as possible.

As always this month’s box contained the usual high quality glossy ‘My Little World’ booklet,  additional product information cards, picture card the ‘My  Little Box’ cloth drawstring bag, (which contains the three to four beauty / skincare products usually three – one of which is a My Little Box item), two accessory items and a beautiful card.  An extra treat this month is the red and white rock stick which was wrapped beautifully on the front of the box so first impressions v good.  Included in this months box are:

Lou Yetu Bijoux Espiegles Cuff Bangle – (no value given) –a beautiful goldtone open cuff with a green trim in the middle – perfect size and adjustable – came in a drawstring bag – although not overly excited by this cuff still happy included in box and will wear it

Delices De Noel Travel Candle in Gingerbread  (no value given) –Comes in a beautiful presentation box with a lid – smells exactly of Gingerbread so perfect addition for this months box;

Courreges Hyperbole Eau de Parfum–travel size spray 5 ml – full size 50 ml -72 Euro – was not sure when I first sprayed it as bit strong at first but then settles so now will definitely try it to see if it is for me  – it is a sweet fragrance with a slight spice undertone and also matches the theme perfectly this month.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula FlipBalm in Juicy Watermelon Full Size – £4.99 – have not opened as was lucky and had received this product for free earlier in the month – it is handy product for your bag and has a flip top opening / closure – leaves lips v hydrated and although the smell of the watermelon is refreshing I find it just too much when I apply to my lips but would still recommend trying as long as you are not put off with strong smells/tastes;

My Little Beauty ‘Christmas Melody Smoky Eyes Duo– full size – again no value given (prefer when all the value of items are included on the information cards)  – Two autumnal colours – shades are Shimmery Taupe and Shade – have a good colour pay out, the taupe shade is buildable but has a beautiful subtle sheen and perfect for this time of the year and should be a good duo for a smoky eye look and packaging also matches this month’s theme perfectly as well.

Two extras were included this month a beautiful tin of Kusmi Tea 25g (200g is £24.80) and a small sample jar of Tiptree Salted Caramel Spread – 210g – £2.49 (210g is £2.49)

Update on missing third item from my November 2016 – not sure what should have been included  – however was delighted as received a Sephora Lip gloss as the  replacement item prior to the end of November – was v happy with replacement as had never tried Sephora lip glosses before, not overly sticky and gives a natural sheen to the lips.

I would  definitely recommend subscribing to this box because as always it is still one of my favourite subscription boxes.  I love the way the items this month fit perfectly with this time of year and all matched perfectly with the theme this month as well  – it is a ‘cosy comforting’ box this month and although some people might not find the contents v exciting, and I agree they might not be, however  I am happy with them and will use them all.

Any queries / comments please let me know and if you would like a separate review on any of the above products just let me know.  Also if you received this months box would love to know what you thought, what were your favourite items this month?

If you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

Zerreau Waterless Towel Off Shampoo Foam

I was very lucky a few weeks back and won an #Zerreau Instagram competition.  The prize was their Waterless Towel Off Shampoo Foam (180ml).    I wash my hair every day and have done for a long number of years (just don’t feel content if it has not been washed) and as I do not like dry shampoos  I was  intrigued to see the way / how good this product actually was- although delighted to win this prize and very grateful to receive it I was a little sceptical as well – a ‘waterless’ shampoo!

img_2340

Zerreau Towel Off Shampoo Foam – has a pump applicator and has a white creamy foam with a refreshing apple fragrance (think Granny Smith apples) – not overpowering and  is described as a revolutionary way to get fresh clean hair without using water.    Advised  to massage foam directly and generously into the hair to release grease and oil.  Whilst still soapy thoroughly towel dry to remove and style as normal and if you hair is very thick wash in sections and repeat as necessary – can also just be used on the roots.

As I have fine long hair I did not want to overload my hair so I took a little product at a time and applied to my hair until it was all covered and quite damp and then I towel dried my hair to remove the product and then dried it with my hairdryer and straightened my hair as normal.  I was v pleasantly surprised with the results as it left my hair feeling and looking ‘clean’ and silky soft to the touch – appearance looked the same as if I had washed my hair with water.  Although I was slightly disappointed  once I dried my hair that I could only find a v slight hint of the ‘apple’ fragrance.  Also the first time I used the product I think I still used too much as took a long to dry my hair so it may take a few goes before you know the correct amount  for your hair.

I would definitely recommend trying / purchasing this product and although it still has not convinced me that my hair does not need washed with ‘water’ every day ( I do not think there will ever be a product that will convince me of this as this is a personal chose)  I will be repurchasing it to take with me anywhere I find it difficult to wash my hair ‘properly’ i.e. travelling, music events, camping etc

As always remember to look out for the best value / offers available before purchasing – you can purchase from a number of stores and I have listed two online stores below.

  • Superdrug£3.99 for 70 ml or £7.95 for 180ml – however you can get points with their  Health & Beauty Card and also look out for any special offers they may have on;
  • Amazon.co.uk £19.99 for 3 x 180ml – also look out for any offers that they may have on – also remember if you not already signed up to Topcashback.co.uk if you sign up using my referral link here you will get a £5 Amazon gift card and then you will also be able to claim cashback on a number of online retailers (including Superdrug).

Hope you found this useful – Have you tried this product before,  and if so what do you think of it?

If you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Have a lovely weekend.

Thank you – take care.
