My Little Box ‘Goodnight’-Nov 2016

I received my November  My Little Box  last Friday –  one of my favourite monthly subscription boxes  – it is a Parisian based monthly subscription box which costs £14.95 (inclusive of p&p) per month.    This month’s theme is ‘Goodnight’ and love the way the box, booklets, packaging is all coordinated in line with the monthly theme .

As always this month’s box contained the usual high quality glossy ‘My Little World’ booklet,  additional product information cards, picture card the ‘My  Little Box’ cloth drawstring bag, (which contains the three to four beauty / skincare products usually three – one of which is a My Little Box item), two accessory items and a beautiful card.  Included in this months box are:

img_2239-1

img_2238-1

Ornamental Jewellery Dish in Shape of the Crescent Moon  (no value given) –Comes in a beautiful presentation box – White & Silver Print – perfect for a few jewellery pieces – I understand it is for beside your bed in line with this months theme but would also be perfect to leave beside the kitchen sink – a nice addition to this months box;

img_2241

Garnier SkinActive Pure Active, 3in1 Wash, Scrub & Mask–travel size full size 150 ml -£5.10 as it can be used to cleanse, as a scrub or mask looking forward to using, a white creamy consistency with slight granules, not sure how suitable it will be for my skin, although may be good for the T-Zone area  as I have combination skin, should be good for oily skin as states on packaging;

 img_2248

My Little Beauty ‘Moonrise Makeup Remover Jelly – full size – again no value given (hope this is sorted out for next month as I like to see the value of items on the information cards)  – described as a gel / oil hybrid that gets rid of stubborn dirt that clings to your skin without harsh tugging – thick gel consistency and has a lovely fresh not overpowering fragrance, when you apply to skin has a slight oily feeling and then when you mix with water changes to a creamy milky cleanser – left my skin smooth and refreshed and my skin looked initially brighter as well – look forward to using for a longer period of time; and

img_2252

Unfortunately missing my third item – not sure what should have been included  – however have seen some spoilers and I am hoping my missing item is not the Yves Rocher Small fragrance as I have yet to find one from this brand that I like.  I have emailed My Little Box and just waiting for a response – from past experience their customer care is excellent so I am positive I will receive my missing item v soon – will let you know in December’s post how I got on.

Although I would  definitely still recommend subscribing to this box as it is still one of my favourite subscription boxes, I am slightly disappointed with the beauty items in this months box, just have such high expectations for this box now, not sure why two cleansers were included (acknowledge one can be used as a scrub and mask as well) and although I believe I will receive my missing item v soon, it still spoils your overall enjoyment of the box when one of your items is missing.

Any queries / comments please let me know and if you would like a separate review on any of the above products just let me know.  Also if you received this months box would love to know what you thought, what were your favourite items this month?

If you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

I am just after receiving / opening my November Glossybox.  I  have not got a chance yet to try the products but just wanted to let you see what I got and let you know my initial thoughts.  Glossybox is a  monthly beauty subscription box which costs £10.00 (plus p&p) per month and 3, 6 & 12 monthly subscriptions are also available.

img_2204

Included in this months box is the usual product  / beauty information card  and the following five products and bonus item:

RUBY Professional Large Tapered Blending Brush– Full Size =£8– (should be ok as a blending brush, bristles are very soft and no initial fall  out);

WILKINSON SWORD Quattro for Women Raspberry Rain Disposable Razors – 3 razors for £5.69 – (these are always handy to have especially for travelling);

img_2207

I am v pleased with this months selection, although not my favourite 2016 box it is still a v good box – great selection of brands / products and four full size items.    I am really looking forward to trying all of these products especially the facemask and eye pencil.

YOU Beauty Box – November 2016

I received my November 2016 YOU beauty box today   – I  once again stayed with the standard subscription this month – £6.95 (including p&p) for two items plus the extras. (please see my previous post here for overview and how to subscribe  and the November shortlist / selection of products here). I  selected / received the following two products  and extras:

 Emma Bridgewater Feels Like Home (200ml) – FULL SIZE  = worth £9

States on the information booklet Feels Like Home Body Wash has ‘a mix of camomile, lavender and orange blossom.

It has a beautiful natural relaxing fragrance (thankfully cannot find the lavender scent at all), a clear gel consistency – I put a small amount on my arm and once mixed with water it became a beautiful creamy lather which when rinsed off left my skin soft and fragrant.    Looking forward to trying this properly.

(unfortunately this item is not available anymore as currently sold out)

The Organic Pharmacy Lip & Eye Cream (10ml) – FULL SIZE = worth £26.95

(This cream is free with this months Harper’s Bazaar please see my magazine freebies post here)

My second choice

Comes in a tube and outer box, has a light cream consistency and a natural ‘spa’ type aroma.  Tried once and appears to give a light brightening effect to under eye area and although v slightly sticky when you first apply feels moisturising on the lips – will post a review when I get a chance to try for a longer period of time.

Plus the extras included in this month’s box were 7th Heaven strengthening nail & cuticle finger masques, two popbands, a Flower By Kenzo Eau de Parfum 1ml fragrance sample and a http://www.leoniesaliba.com 25 % Discount Card.

Although I personally found this box not just quite as good as last months box still v happy with it, looking forward to trying both the products which are both full size items and together worth £35.95 and with the inclusion of the additional items, absolutely fantastic value as all for just £6.95.

Therefore as always I would definitely recommend trying the YOU beauty box if you can because of the value of products / cost of box – subscriptions start at £6.95, especially if you never have subscribed received a beauty box before as at this price, one of the cheapest around at the moment, it is definitely worth getting, if you can.   However as always, please remember if you are interested in specific products you need to make your choice as early as possible as some products may sell out quickly (as has happened this month already).

If you are already subscribed would love to know what you thought of the selection of products this month and also love to know if you are considering subscribing.

Also if you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Hope you all have a good week.

 Thank you and take care.

My Little Box ‘Brooklyn’- October 2016

I received my October  My Little Box last week – it is still one of my favourite monthly subscription boxes  – it is a Parisian based monthly subscription box which costs £14.95 (inclusive of p&p) per month.    This month’s theme is ‘Brooklyn’.

As always this month’s box contained the usual high quality glossy ‘My Little World’ booklet,  additional product information cards, the ‘My  Little Box’ cloth drawstring bag, (which contains the three to four beauty / skincare products usually three – one of which is a My Little Box item), two accessory items and a beautiful card.  Included in this months box are:

Two sets of coloured ‘pins’ – worth £6 –two rose goldtone / green pins and one round pink / orange and rose goldtone pin – perfect for adding that little extra detail to your jacket, coat, shirt, scarf or cap  love the inclusion of these as well ;

Crayon Khol Terrybly By Terry, ‘No 15 – Gold Ornament’–  full size  worth £24 – over the moon this was included in this months box, not just because of the brand, By Terry has excellent quality products, but also because I love eyeliners – it is a gorgeous gold colour – perfect for autumn/ winter and party season as well – beautiful, creamy and long lasting – have not got a colour like this in my collection either which is another bonus;

img_1825

Polaar ‘The Genuine Lapland Hand Cream’– full size – 16.90 Euro – have not opened it as it is sealed  and have so many hand creams to use up at the moment – however received this brand in another box and found their products v hydrating – perfect for the winter time so looking forward to trying;

img_1832

img_1833

My Little Beauty ‘Save My Nails’– full size – worth £7 – described as a strengthening reviving treatment – not got a chance to try it yet but has a lovely sweet fragrance; and

img_1829

A ‘Coffee’ Stencil was also included – no price but a great addition, perfect for using to add a design when sprinkling a little chocolate on top of your coffee.

Once again I am delighted with this month’s box  – great variety of items / brands included this month – definitely one of my favourite monthly beauty boxes, if not my favourite at the moment.  Will definitely continue my subscription to this box, currently looking at my other monthly subscription boxes  to see which ones I may cancel for a while as just have so many products to use up.    I would definitely recommend subscribing to this box, not just for the variety of products included, love that beauty products are included, but because the addition of the accessory items adds that little extra – look forward to the surprise each month.

Any queries / comments please let me know and if you would like a separate review on any of the above products just let me know.  Also if you received this months box would love to know what you thought, what were your favourite items this month?

LATESTINBEAUTY – Build Your Own Box

Another way you can try a number of beauty products is by creating your own custom beauty box through Latestinbeauty‘Build Your Own Box’ –  perfect way to treat yourself or get as a gift(s) as excellent value for money.

You can choose from three box options; Box 1 – 3 products for £8.99, Box 2 – 6 products for £12.99 and Box 3 – 9 products for £16.99 plus £3.95 for p & p unless a free shipping offer is on at the time you are purchasing.  There are a mixture of full size and travel size beauty products to select from.  As you would expect some products, especially full size items, sell out pretty quickly, however selection of products is updated / refreshed on a regular basis.

I have purchased different versions of the  Build Your Own boxes in the past, depending on the choice of products that were available to select / purchase at that time.  I have included details of my most recent selection below which I received last week.

img_1766

This time I chose Box 3 as the selection of products available to chose from included a number of items I wanted to try, already liked and majority were full size items, so this was the most reasonable way to purchase/ try them – excellent value for money.

I selected / received the following items:

Rituals Mini Under A Fig Tree Fragrance Sticks – 50ml – Comes In a Box – Worth £14.50 ;

Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo – 75ml – 250ml is worth 18.00;

Molton Brown Frankincense & Allspice Hand Wash300ml is worth £18.00;

Rodial Stem Cell Cleansing Cream – 70ml – only able to see in sets at the moment;

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara in Midnight Blue – 4ml – Travel Size in Box – Full Size worth £18 – I received black although ordered blue but going to contact Latestinbeauty about this – I found their customer service is excellent;

Garnier Miracle Sleeping Cream – 50 ml – Full size sealed in box – worth £12.99 but reduced in a number of online stores;

Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser – 90ml – worth £8.50;

Eucerin Transparent Sun Spray SPF30 – 200ml – worth £16.50; and

The Green Parent Natural Beauty Bible 2016 – not included in box and will contact Latestinbeauty about this however do not really need or want it now as have now seen what it actually is, a friend had already received it and I thought it might have been a book but it is only a magazine so unless you really want to receive it, I would recommend selecting another item instead.

I also received a free 111Skin Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask (1 mask – FULL SIZE) worth £20 as there was a special offer on when I purchased, a free mask with any purchase – even though this particular offer is now finished, Latestinbeauty do have regular offers.

I definitely would recommend checking out the Build Your Own Beauty Box range, as there usually is a great variety of brands and products available(to choose from), excellent value for money, great way to try products and perfect as gifts as well.  Remember though that some products may go out of stock v quickly, although stock is refreshed / updated on a regular basis.

Hope you found this helpful and would love to hear if you have, or are thinking of purchasing one of these boxes.

 If you are not already a follower would love you to follow my blog too – would mean a lot.

Thank you – take care.

YOU Beauty Box – October 2016 Review

I received my October 2016 YOU beauty box  selection yesterday   – I  again stayed with the standard subscription this month – £6.95 (including p&p) for two items plus the extras. (please see my previous post here for overview and how to subscribe  and the October shortlist / selection of products post here). I  selected / received the following two products  and extras:

Foreo Day Cleanser (100ml) – FULL SIZE (In Box) = worth £25

States on the information booklet ‘bursting with fruit extracts – it instantly refreshes the skin as it cleanses while the yogurt probiotics moisturise and protect it against daily external aggressions.  The skin is left soft healthy and radiant’.

This is a beautiful creamy peach coloured cleanser and feels so soft on the skin – the fragrance is amazing – it must be the Bergamot, which is described as bringing radiance and refreshes – delighted I selected this product and cannot wait to use it properly – can be used by itself and with a LUNA cleansing device which I am also delighted with, as I received a mini LUNA cleansing device in another beauty box and have not used it yet – so will do a separate review on both when I get a chance to try  them both properly.

(unfortunately this item not available anymore as currently sold out – that is why I always recommend making your selection as soon after 7am on the 1st of each month if you can as some items can sell out v quickly – thought this might be one of those items as it is worth £25!)

Aromatherapy Associates Revive Body Gel (200ml) – FULL SIZE = worth £35

my second choice

States on the information booklet ‘experience the refreshing and invigorating powers of grapefruit, rosemary and juniper to even out skin tome and texture to maintain a healthy micro circulation – massage into your skin each day focusing on areas of concern.

Comes in a tube, has a gel consistency and a spa aroma, definitely a ‘Revive’ citrus fragrance and although looking forward to trying, the fragrance is pretty strong so not sure if this would put me off purchasing in the future even if I enjoyed using this product – but I will let you know on a separate review when I get a chance to try.

Plus the extras included in this month’s box were two 7th Heaven masques, glove/hand and sock/foot masques and a http://www.everdine.co.uk £25 Off your first box card.

Over the moon with this months box, even though no makeup items,  really looking forward to trying both the products which are both full size items and together worth £60 (some online sites you may get them cheaper) and with the inclusion of the two masques where can you get better value at the moment and all for £6.95.

Thank you – enjoy the rest of the weekend and take care.
